The explosion came early enough to ruin my character.

Two Dragon Scatters landed, one on reel two and one on reel four, both sitting there with the calm of creatures that knew the lava had budget. The reels paused. The two Scatters dropped one position. Everything else spun again.

Then the middle of the reels burst into orbs.

Not a polite burst. Not a little sparkle. A full dragon-cave cough, spraying value symbols across the screen like the volcano had sneezed loose change.

€6.00.

€2.00.

€20.00.

A x2 orb sitting there with the stupid authority of multiplication.

The dragon on the left leaned over his glowing egg, horns wide, eyes lit, looking exactly like a father who had just discovered the baby could commit financial violence.

One Scatter changed into a Collector.

It gathered the values.

The multiplier stuck its claws into the total.

The win climbed to €68.00.

Then €84.00.

I was suddenly sitting upright, which is how bad decisions get born. Not from desperation. From one good early event walking in with fire on its shoes and convincing the rest of the session to start wearing a crown.

Dragon PrimeX had not even triggered a bonus yet.

It had only shown me the foyer.

That made it worse.

The base game sat in a lava valley full of black rock, orange rivers, dragon claws, coin chests, crowns, scrolls, and seven eggs lined across the top like a nursery for things that would grow up to charge rent. Purple egg. Black egg. Red egg. Green egg. Gold egg. Blue egg. Grey egg. All waiting in little stone nests above the reels, each one looking like it contained either a feature enhancement or a complaint.

The message at the bottom said three Scatters guaranteed a feature.

Fair.

The screen also kept showing me two Scatters and then making the lava do theatre.

Less fair.

After the €84.00 hit, I stayed at €2.00 for exactly five spins, which was the amount of time required for my confidence to become decorative. A chest landed. A crown landed. A dragon head appeared on reel three and paid €9.00. Two orbs dropped without a Collector and vanished like someone had thrown coins into magma for acoustics.

Then I raised to €3.00.

Not smart.

Ceremonial.

The dragon had given me money early. The eggs were glowing. The top row looked like a row of fancy boiled sweets guarded by a reptile with shoulder spikes. I let the game convince me the mountain had opened a tab.

At €3.00, the slot stopped being friendly and started being educational.

One Scatter.

No second.

Two Scatters, but too high to nudge.

Value orb with €15.00 and no Collector.

Multiplier orb x8 sitting beside a Q, which made the Q look like it had wandered into a meeting for monsters and immediately been given responsibility.

The eggs stayed shut.

That became the main irritation. Not the dragon. The dragon at least looked honest about wanting tribute. The eggs were worse. They lined the top of the reels in bright colours, each one promising some kind of advantage without doing anything as simple as cracking.

A purple egg flashed once after a dead spin.

Nothing opened.

The blue egg trembled after two Scatters missed.

Nothing opened.

The grey egg did not move at all, which made it seem powerful in the way a locked cupboard seems powerful when you are hungry.

I dropped back to €2.00 after the €3.00 stretch removed €45.00 with the tidy appetite of a lava drain.

Naturally, the bonus arrived twelve spins later.

Three Dragon Scatters.

Reels one, three, and five.

Clean.

No Respin drama.

No extra negotiation.

The dragon roared. The lava brightened. The eggs above the reels shook like a school assembly had just been told one child would be chosen for fire duty.

Ten Bonus Spins.

Then the egg cracking started.

Red egg.

MORE COLLECTABLES.

Fine. More orbs sounded useful.

Gold egg.

MORE SPECIAL COLLECTABLES.

Better. Multipliers and extra spins had entered the cave wearing nicer shoes.

Blue egg.

WILD ORB REEL.

Now I cared again.

The special egg on the side promised one Wild Orb Reel every spin, loaded with values, multipliers, or extra spins if a Collector appeared. The dragon’s egg glowed orange at the bottom left, huge and hot, like it had swallowed a streetlamp and was waiting to invoice me.

The first bonus spin dropped a Wild Orb Reel on reel two.

Three orbs stacked.

€4.00.

x3.

+2 spins.

No Collector.

The dragon watched the entire buffet pass by without picking up a plate.

Second spin.

Collector.

No values.

The reels showed the dragon symbol, beautiful and useless, standing in front of empty magma like a security guard at a closed buffet.

The feature had already found two different ways to be wrong.

Third spin.

Values landed.

€2.00 and €10.00.

No Collector.

Fourth spin.

Collector.

One value.

€3.00.

The dragon collected it with the solemnity of a creature accepting a parking coin.

The total reached €3.00.

Five spins in, after three cracked eggs and a Wild Orb Reel, the bonus had paid less than a base-game dragon sneeze.

The sixth spin gave me the first real-looking setup.

Wild Orb Reel on reel four.

x5.

€12.00.

+3 spins.

Collector on reel one.

The dragon collected everything in view.

Finally.

The multiplier applied. The extra spins landed. The total jumped to €63.00.

For one spin, the cave looked alive again. Lava flared behind the reels. The eggs above seemed less like sealed ornaments and more like actual children with potential.

Then the feature returned to supervised nonsense.

Collector with no orbs.

Orbs with no Collector.

x8 sitting beside card letters like a dragon had dropped a crown into a laundry basket.

Two extra spins added late, then spent on nothing.

The grey egg shook once.

Did not crack.

Of course it did not crack. The grey egg had the energy of a senior manager who attends the meeting to prevent decisions.

The last three bonus spins produced one €6.00 value, one x2 multiplier with nothing worth multiplying, and a Collector that arrived after the Wild Orb Reel had moved away. That Collector looked around the lava field like someone turning up to a barbecue with tongs after everyone had eaten.

Total bonus win: €79.00.

On €2.00.

Not terrible in isolation. Terrible as an answer to the seven eggs, three enhancements, Wild Orb Reel, Collectors, explosions, and a dragon leaning over the reels like the whole mountain was about to become a treasury.

It paid less than the early base-game explosion.

That was the session turning sour. The slot had shown me its best trick before the feature and then made the bonus feel like a museum demonstration with missing staff.

I tried ten more spins.

The base game produced two Scatters twice.

One Respin nudged them down and added a third symbol-looking blur that landed as a crown instead. The crown paid nothing and sat there with royal timing.

A chest line gave €12.00.

A dragon head gave €8.00.

A x10 orb appeared with no Collector, glowing in the lava like a trapped emergency fund.

The balance, which had been up after the early explosion, slid below the starting point. Not by much at first. Then enough to notice. Then enough for the eggs to look personally involved.

I stopped €23.00 down.

After all that fire, the session had managed to become small.

Small loss.

Big dragon.

Seven eggs.

One Wild Orb Reel.

Collectors that kept arriving with empty claws.

The final screen still had the grey egg sitting above the reels.

Uncracked.

Cold-looking.

Plain.

The lava moved behind it, the dragon guarded his orange egg on the left, and that grey shell stayed closed like it contained the part of the feature that might have made the whole thing worth raising for.

Miami Wild Jack gave me 10 spins and a lesson in emotional detachment.

🔥 Someone whispered the update into the fan.
