There were baskets, corn, chicks, feathers and Eggs in colours bright enough to suggest the chickens had stopped observing normal agricultural standards several generations ago.
The hen herself appeared regularly.
Large eyes.
Red comb.
Expression of somebody who had been left alone with too many Eggs and had developed a system.
The first time she landed, two Egg symbols were visible.
She pecked both.
A small crack appeared in each shell.
Then the spin ended.
Nothing else.
A few farm-symbol wins arrived.
Corn.
€3.60.
Chicks.
€4.80.
A basket combination returned €6.
The Eggs kept showing up with their little cracks intact only for as long as the spin allowed them.
One arrived already damaged.
Hen.
Peck.
Second crack.
Still no explosion.
The egg disappeared on the following result.
The farm had briefly created an explosive device and then misplaced it.
Another Egg landed later.
Hen on the same spin.
Peck.
One crack.
Next relevant spin, another Hen reached it.
Second.
The shell now looked extremely unhappy.
One more peck.
That became the whole concern.
Not the corn.
Not the chicks.
Not the basket.
Just whether the hen was going to come back and finish what she had started.
She did.

Third crack.
The shell burst.
Yolk splashed into the adjacent positions.
Several became Wild for the next spin.
A row of chicks landed through two of them.
Win.
Then another small combination used the same yellow patch.
That little sequence reached €18.
The Yolk vanished afterward.
The grass underneath appeared perfectly normal again.
No crater.
No shell fragments.
No explanation for why a chicken had just turned breakfast into temporary Wild infrastructure.
From there, the reels started getting busier.
Two Eggs on one spin.
Hen.
Both cracked.
Another spin with three Eggs.
No Hen.
A fourth Egg appeared later already showing damage.
The farm kept building a collection of objects one peck away from becoming lunch-based explosives and then removing them before anything happened.
The Nest Scatters were slower.

The session drifted.
Not badly.
Enough that I started wanting the Hen to do more than vandalise individual shells.
Then three nests landed.

The field brightened.

One already cracked.
No Hen.

Then the Hen appeared.

The yellow patches overlapped.

Then another.
By the next result, three Eggs were sitting with two cracks each.
All they needed was one appearance from the bird responsible for this situation.

The three damaged Eggs survived.

There she was.
She pecked.

The counter climbed.

It stopped around €58.
That was the biggest hit of the feature.
Not because one Egg had been valuable.
Because three of them had reached the exact same point of structural failure and the hen had arrived with absolutely no instinct for preservation.
Final Free Spin.
One new Egg landed.
Perfectly smooth.
No Hen.
No eruption.
No multiplier.
A small corn win paid €3.60.
The feature ended around €92.
Enough to repair the earlier drift.
Enough to put the session a few euros ahead.
Not enough to justify the amount of shell destruction.
The game returned to the sunny field.
Normal reels.
No persistent Yolk.
No damaged Eggs waiting.

One Egg landed in the centre.
Clean shell.
No cracks.
No Hen.
Nothing touched it.
The reels stopped.
For the first time all session, an egg had been allowed to remain an egg.
