The grapes went next.
They disappeared in a purple flash, two coins dropped into the empty spaces and the treasure chest swallowed both before the reels had finished settling.
Then a red seven landed.

It did not explain why the watermelon had become explosive.
I had started at €180.
The stake was €1.20.
The feature had not begun with anything close to this level of produce-related instability.
For twenty-four paid spins, the five reels had mostly behaved like a fruit machine that had recently inherited money.
Grapes.
Watermelons.
Plums.
Oranges.
Golden coins.
Red sevens.
A chest large enough to suggest whoever owned it had stopped trusting banks and started trusting carpentry.
