18+ Only. Play Responsibly.
I paid €300 so a cowboy could fight a chicken.
The chicken won.
Johnny had 8x above his head.
The Chicken had 20x.
They faced each other across reel two.
Dust moved behind them.
Both reached for their guns.
The screen flashed.
Johnny lost.
The Chicken expanded from top to bottom of the reel carrying 20x and stayed there.
First Free Spin.
€14.00.
This was already a much better use of the Old West than cattle.
I had started with €500 at €1.00.
The Buy Bonus menu had offered several increasingly irresponsible ways to accelerate the disagreement between the two characters.
I went straight to Gold.
€300.
Gone.
Balance outside the feature: €200.
Ten Free Spins.
A guaranteed Sticky Expanding Wild on the first one.
There had been no need to spend forty spins looking at cacti and pretending I was interested in natural Scatters.
Johnny vs Chicken had put a green gunslinger on one side of the reels and an orange rooster with revolvers on the other.
The town behind them contained wooden buildings, dust, whiskey, gold, cacti wearing gun belts and one-armed bandits.
One cactus was armed.
This was sensible.
A normal cactus has no way to defend itself from a chicken carrying two revolvers.
The first duel had settled reel two.
Chicken.
20x.
Sticky.
The next Free Spin began with him still occupying the whole reel.
Symbols dropped around him.
Whiskey.
A cactus.
Letters.
Johnny symbols.
Another chicken.
A line crossed through the expanding Wild and returned €8.00.
The Chicken stayed.
He had already won the gunfight.
Apparently that also came with property rights.
Then another VS symbol appeared on reel four.
It was part of a winning combination.
Everything stopped.
Johnny came out again.
The Chicken faced him.
Multipliers appeared.
Johnny: 50x.
Chicken: 3x.
I looked at the numbers.
No decision was required from me.
The duel was going to settle this by gunfire.
Johnny had fifty.
The Chicken had three.
The Chicken won.
Of course he did.
The rooster fired.
Johnny disappeared.
Reel four expanded into another full-height Chicken Wild carrying 3x.
The first Chicken still occupied reel two with 20x.
A combination passed through both reels.
The multipliers added.
23x.
€34.50.
Johnny had entered a gunfight with more than sixteen times the multiplier of his opponent and been removed from town by poultry.
The Chicken now controlled two reels.
One with 20x.
One with 3x.
Neither bird showed any interest in explaining how.
The next Free Spin was completely dead.
That helped.
The town needed several seconds without an armed animal changing mathematics.
A tumbleweed crossed the background.
The Chicken remained on reels two and four.
Johnny remained visible as an ordinary symbol elsewhere, which raised another issue.
There were apparently several Johnnys.
Losing a duel did not reduce the local population.
It simply prevented that particular Johnny from becoming an entire reel.
The following stretch produced smaller combinations.
A cactus connected through the 20x Chicken.
A whiskey bottle found another line.
Sticky Wilds kept turning modest symbol arrangements into amounts that had no relationship with what those symbols looked capable of producing.
€11.40 accumulated across the smaller action.
The feature had not yet recovered the €300 purchase.
I still had several spins.
Then reel one produced another VS.
Winning combination.
Duel.
Johnny returned.
The Chicken returned.
Numbers appeared.
Johnny: 4x.
Chicken: 100x.
This should have been brief.
The rooster had one hundred.
Johnny had four.
The guns came out.
Johnny won.
The Wild West had now rejected arithmetic from both directions.
The Chicken had beaten 50x with 3x.
Johnny had answered by beating 100x with 4x.
Apparently the multipliers were not weapons.
They were decorative hats.
Johnny expanded across reel one.
4x.
Sticky.
Three reels were now occupied.
Johnny at 4x.
Chicken at 20x.
Chicken at 3x.
The ordinary symbols were running out of places to participate.
A group of whiskey bottles landed across the remaining space.
One line touched all three expanding reels.
4 + 20 + 3.
27x.
The amount climbed.
€27.
Then additional lines joined it.
€54.
€81.00.
The cactus on reel three had contributed to one of them.
It stood there with its tiny gun belt beside three full reels of armed Wild characters.
There are moments when carrying a holster becomes optimism.
The next spin brought no new duel.
It did not need one.
Three Sticky Expanding Wilds remained in place.
The reels dropped symbols into the gaps between them.
Chickens.
Johnnys.
A sack of gold.
Whiskey.
Card ranks.
The existing Wilds dragged several combinations across.
€43.50.
I was now looking at a feature where most of the screen had become permanent winners of previous gunfights.
The two actual characters standing beside the reels were almost unnecessary.
Their larger versions had occupied the town.
Another VS landed.
Reel five.
Winning combination.
Fourth showdown.
Johnny walked out.
Chicken faced him.
Johnny received 10x.
Chicken received 8x.
For the first time, the larger number won.
Johnny fired.
Chicken went down.
Reel five expanded.
Johnny Wild.
10x.
Sticky.
Four of the five reels now belonged to duel winners.
Reel three was the only piece of neutral territory left.
A watermelon could have landed there and immediately become the town’s most vulnerable civilian.
No watermelon came.
A whiskey bottle did.
A Johnny symbol landed above it.
The paylines resolved.
One of them crossed reel one.
Then reel two.
Reel four.
Reel five.
Every Sticky Expanding Wild participated.
4x from Johnny.
20x from Chicken.
3x from Chicken.
10x from Johnny.
37x.
A base line underneath all that gunfire suddenly had thirty-seven times the authority it started with.
The amount reached €111.00.
That was the moment the €300 purchase stopped looking reckless and started looking like I had somehow paid admission to a mathematical gunfight where both participants were terrible at choosing opponents.
One Free Spin remained after another dead result.
Four Wild reels stayed in place.
Johnny.
Chicken.
Chicken.
Johnny.
Their multipliers remained above them.
Reel three spun almost alone.
Everything else was already occupied by somebody who had survived a duel.
The final symbols dropped.
A cactus.
Whiskey.
One Chicken.
A letter.
The cactus completed a line through the sticky Wilds.
Then another combination formed underneath.
The multipliers stacked where the expanding reels shared the win.
The final spin paid €74.00.
Then the feature ended.
The sticky Wilds disappeared.
Ten Free Spins had produced €377.40.
My €200 balance became €577.40.
The Gold purchase had cost €300.
I had finished €77.40 above the €500 I started with.
That was enough.
The normal reels came back.
Johnny returned to the left side of town.
The Chicken stood on the right with both revolvers.
Between them sat cacti, whiskey, card ranks and several symbols that had somehow survived ten Free Spins without being challenged to a duel.
Neither character moved.
A tumbleweed rolled across the bottom of the screen.
I left the spin button untouched until it disappeared behind the Chicken’s boots.
12 Coins Grand Gold Edition taught me patience, then punished me for it.
