Now while we have no issue with the maximum win amount it is clear that the RTP on Pirates Hold is unacceptably low and this is a fundamental problem with slots made by Cayetano Gaming. It really is a shame as they are more than capable of making  a good looking and playing slot machine.

For this one they have opted for a Pirate theme which is of course one of the most popular themes out there, over  the last few years we have seen some very nice slots in this genre so how does this one measure up?

Well when it comes to how Pirates Hold looks and sounds Cayetano have done a pretty decent job.  There is a pirate ship, island and the sea all moving gently around the reel set in the middle.

The symbols and the sounds are pretty decent as well its actually nice not to have a repetitive sound track blaring in the background.

That leaves the gameplay which we readily admit is more than decent as well. There is the Anne Robber Bonus, the Davy Locker Bonus and the Jack Arrows (yes they went there) bonus all of which are triggered by landing coins along with the relevant scatter. Landing 4 coins will award a multiplier of up to 300x although during free spins you only need to land 2.

All in all its not a bad slot at all except for the fore mentioned RTP which is on the low side.
