Hall of Fame: reels so loud the exit button packed a bag.

Cleopatra had three pyramids and only the red one had remembered that pyramids were supposed to stay where Egypt put them.

The green pyramid was moving left.

The blue pyramid was descending through the reels.

The red pyramid had planted itself in the middle and refused to move at all.

A gold coin landed between them.

Green flashed.

Blue dropped another row.

Red collected the coin without shifting a single stone.

Cleopatra stood beside the reels holding her staff and did not appear remotely concerned that two of Egypt’s largest monuments had developed travel plans.

That was the moment the whole thing made sense.

Not historical sense.

Very specifically Queen of the 3 Pyramids: Cash Collect sense.

Green had decided pyramids could migrate sideways.

Blue had decided pyramids could descend through a temple wall.

Red had looked at both of them and concluded that the ancient Egyptian approach had been correct from the beginning.

Stay exactly where you are.

Wait for treasure to arrive.

I still had several Free Games left.

There was a red collector lodged in the middle of the reels.

Green was almost at the left edge.

Blue had already fallen low enough to look like it was trying to reach a burial chamber underneath the game.

And Cleopatra was calmly supervising what had become a traffic dispute involving monuments.

The session had begun with €32.80.

Not €100.

Not €200.

€32.80.

I set the stake to €0.80 and left Extra Bet off.

The Lucky Box Buy stayed untouched as well.

There were already three colour-coded pyramids sitting above the reels, piles of treasure on both sides, a Queen with a staff, a Pharaoh, scarabs, Ankhs and enough gold to make the desert look upholstered.

I did not need to purchase additional Egypt.

The opening spins were almost suspiciously conventional.

A.

K.

Q.

J.

The Eye of Horus.

Ankh.

Scarab.

Pharaoh.

Cleopatra herself as the Wild.

Everything came dressed in gold, blue, red or green as though even the low symbols had been dug out of a tomb and polished before appearing.

A tiny line returned €0.80.

A few spins later, another brought €1.60.

Most of the rest simply filled the five reels with expensive-looking Egypt and then removed it again.

The Pharaoh appeared three times before he managed to do anything useful.

He had the face of a man carved into several thousand years of authority.

He paid less often than the letter Q.

That seemed like a dynasty issue best left to the tomb.

The first Pyramid Coin changed the session.

Blue.

Round coin.

Tiny pyramid inside.

It landed on one of the reels and the blue pyramid above the grid lit up.

For a moment, the whole monument looked awake.

Nothing followed.

No Free Games.

No Link.

No collector.

The coin vanished.

The pyramid went still again.

That was enough.

Until then, the three pyramids had looked like decorative architecture.

Now I knew they were waiting.

A green Pyramid Coin landed a few spins later.

The green pyramid glowed.

Again, nothing opened.

But now two monuments had acknowledged the reels independently.

Red remained untouched.

It sat between them with the confidence of a structure that had survived several millennia and was not about to start moving because a coin had appeared.

The first Lucky Box arrived around the same time.

Bronze.

Question marks all over it.

It landed on reel five and travelled toward the Lucky Box icon beside the reels.

A mystery box had now appeared in ancient Egypt carrying cards, surprises and several possible ways to make the session stranger.

Nothing came from it.

The box vanished.

That was probably for the best.

The pyramids had not even started walking yet.

By spin eighteen, the little starting balance had already become €23.20.

The desert still looked rich.

I did not.

Then Cleopatra decided the middle of the slot required more Cleopatra.

No Pyramid Coin triggered it.

No BONUS symbols.

No elaborate ceremony.

The reels simply changed.

She appeared.

Large.

Reels two, three and four became stacked Wild.

Three complete middle reels of Queen.

Top row: Cleopatra.

Middle row: Cleopatra.

Bottom row: Cleopatra.

Nine royal faces occupying sixty percent of the game.

For one spin, Egypt had become mostly Queen.

Reel one stopped.

Reel five stopped.

Those were now the only two places where anybody else was allowed to contribute.

One outer reel behaved.

The other did not.

The wall of Cleopatra still managed €2.40.

Then all nine Queens disappeared at once.

The middle three reels returned to Pharaohs, Ankhs, scarabs and letters as though the ruler of Egypt had not just replaced most of the country with herself.

That was the Queen Super Spin.

The pyramids above the reels remained motionless.

Compared with nine Cleopatras, they suddenly looked restrained.

I kept going.

€24.80 after the royal occupation.

The next six paid spins gave very little back.

A small €1.60 hit.

Several dry results.

One blue Pyramid Coin that woke nothing.

One green coin that woke nothing.

Then, finally, a red Pyramid Coin.

The red pyramid glowed for the first time.

Still no feature.

Now all three monuments had individually responded during the session.

None had yet agreed to do anything together.

That changed on spin twenty-six.

Blue Pyramid Coin.

Green Pyramid Coin.

Same spin.

Different reels.

Both pyramids lit at once.

The reels paused.

The desert darkened slightly.

The Free Games began.

Eight of them.

Blue active.

Green active.

Red remained above the reels pretending this had nothing to do with it.

€20.80 remained underneath.

The green pyramid sent its servant first.

Cash Collect Boost.

Bright green.

It landed on the right side.

Two Cash Coins arrived with it.

1x.

0.5x.

The green symbol flashed over them.

The little coin values changed before collection.

What had been 1.5x became 4.5x.

€3.60.

Then the green collector stayed on the reels.

Next spin, it moved one position left.

A pyramid mechanism had developed the directional instinct of a scarab.

No wheels.

No legs.

No explanation.

It simply occupied a different square farther west.

Egypt had spent thousands of years putting pyramids exactly where they were meant to be.

This one had decided to wander toward the Nile.

Then Blue arrived.

Cash Collect Link.

It landed lower on the grid.

A 2x coin appeared with it.

The Free Games stopped.

The screen locked.

Three respins appeared.

The blue pyramid had not merely joined the feature.

It had opened a smaller feature inside the larger feature.

A tomb inside the tomb.

Ancient Egypt had discovered recursion.

The Link symbol stayed.

The coin stayed.

First respin.

Nothing new.

Second respin.

A 0.5x coin landed.

Locked.

Counter back to three.

The blue collector sat there glowing while the green one waited above for the outer feature to resume.

Another coin refused to arrive.

One empty respin.

Another.

Then the third.

The little blue tomb closed with 2.5x locked inside.

€2.00.

Not huge.

But the blue pyramid had managed to interrupt Cleopatra’s Free Games with its own private three-respin burial chamber and then return me to the original feature as though that were a perfectly ordinary sequence of Egyptian events.

The Free Games resumed.

Blue moved down.

One position.

It had landed low enough that the next step almost carried it through the bottom of the active grid.

Blue was leaving Egypt vertically.

Green was still travelling left.

Red remained stationary above the reels.

I had now seen two pyramids fail the basic definition of architecture in different directions.

Then the red Free Games Coin landed.

+2.

Red.

The coin itself should have added two spins.

Except Green was still on the reels.

The green Boost flashed.

+2 became +6.

Six extra Free Games.

The green pyramid had just taken a red object, tripled its time and handed it back still red.

That was the sort of cooperation the monuments had been refusing to provide in the base game.

The red colour also activated the third pyramid.

Finally.

Red woke.

All three pyramids had now been dragged into the same feature.

Blue had travelled down.

Green was moving left.

What would Red do?

Nothing.

It stayed exactly where it landed.

Cash Collect Max appeared in the middle of the grid.

Red.

Bright.

Locked.

A Cash Coin landed.

Red collected it.

Another small value joined.

Red collected that too.

And remained there.

Of the three pyramids, Red had clearly studied pyramids.

Blue had mistaken itself for an elevator.

Green had mistaken itself for a procession.

Red understood the assignment.

Sit in the tomb.

Wait for treasure.

The next few spins turned the reels into a strange royal procession.

Green moved left again.

Red stayed.

A scarab line slipped underneath all of it and paid a little.

Next spin, another Cash Coin arrived.

Red took it.

Green had nearly reached the left edge.

Blue was already gone from the bottom.

Cleopatra Wild landed naturally next to the red collector.

For a moment, the Queen herself stood beside the one pyramid that had chosen not to travel.

That felt correct.

Somewhere above them, the empty blue and green pyramid positions still glowed with their colours.

The red Max continued occupying its square.

The ordinary symbols began to feel like tomb decoration passing behind the monuments.

Pharaoh.

Eye of Horus.

Ankh.

Q.

None of them could compete with watching a green pyramid servant crawl sideways while another pyramid sat in the middle catching coins.

The six extra spins kept the ceremony going.

A 1.5x Cash Coin landed while Red Max was present.

Collected.

Another spin gave nothing.

Another produced a small Eye of Horus line.

The green Boost took one more step left.

By then it looked as though it was trying to escape the pyramid complex entirely.

The irony was excellent.

The actual pyramids in the background had not moved for several thousand years.

The collector representing one of them had crossed half the slot in six spins.

The final extra spin arrived without another Pyramid Coin.

No Link.

No fresh +spin coin.

No Diamond Coin.

No Lucky Box.

No second Queen takeover.

Just the red Max still sitting there, surrounded by normal Egyptian symbols.

A small line paid.

Then the Free Games ended.

Everything special disappeared.

The collectors vanished.

The three pyramids above the reels reset.

Blue on the left.

Red in the centre.

Green on the right.

Perfect alignment.

Perfectly still.

No one would have guessed what they had been doing.

€33.60 remained.

I had started with €32.80.

Eighty cents up.

That was absurdly little money for the amount of monument behaviour involved.

Cleopatra had replaced the middle three reels with Cleopatra.

Green had taken a stroll across the temple while inflating coin values.

Blue had descended through the reels and opened a smaller tomb inside the Free Games.

A red +2 had gone through Green and returned as +6.

Red Max had finally arrived, occupied one position and collected whatever came close enough.

The whole Egyptian procession had finished eighty cents above where it began.

Cleopatra stood beside the reels with her staff.

Blue pyramid.

Red pyramid.

Green pyramid.

All three had returned to their places.

None moved.

After watching two of them migrate and the third turn into a treasure trap, that was the least convincing thing they had done all session.

Gameshow Party Jackpot Play thinks it’s a slot, but it’s an intervention.
