Smugglers Cove is a 5 reel video slot with 20 paylines. It comes with an RTP of 96.5%, high volatility and a maximum win of 10000x your bet.

Those are of course good numbers and it is nice to see Pragmatic Play release a high variance slot machine that comes with a maximum win that is double that of their standard 5000x number that we see them use on the majority of their high volatility slots.

We should note that Smugglers Cove does come (as is the case with many of their latest releases) with an option for an online casino to use one of three settings for the RTP. The one that we have stated is the highest setting but there are 2 possible lower settings, namely, 95.50% and 94.50%. As always if you are not sure what setting is being used we suggest checking with your online casino as to what setting they are using. The difference between the top and bottom values may not sound like much but 2% is going to add up substantially in favor of the online casino over time.

That aside the thumbnail of this one gave us a good indication as to what the theme of this slot was going to be as did the title. Yes Pragmatic Play have decided to release another slot machine in the always popular Pirate themed genre.

Having previously released several good Pirate slots really made us look forward  to this one and as expected Smugglers Cove looks and sounds the part.

Gameplay wise we are actually looking at a slot that is perhaps not very complicated but one that does manage to deliver quite an engaging experience. In essence this slot is built up around the Treasure Bonus feature whose meter/statistics are displayed on the left hand side of the reels.

During the base game the maximum win amount for this feature is 1000x your bet for landing 15 of the Coin symbols but this is cranked up to a massive 10000x your bet during the free spins round which as you would expect requires 3 scatter symbols to be triggered.

So perhaps not the most complicated slot that we have seen from Pragmatic but definitely one that is worth a few spins.
