The first blue gummy disappeared and left x2 behind.
Then another blue gummy landed in exactly the same place.
It connected again.
The square flashed.
x4.
The sweet vanished.
Sugar Megarush had apparently invented a confectionery system where candy became more valuable by repeatedly dying on the same patch of floor.
I was playing at €1.00.
The screen looked like somebody had poured an entire sweet shop into a machine and then removed every responsible adult.
Blue gummies.
Purple drops.
Red jellies.
Green stars.
Orange sweets.
Huge jars of sugar sitting among them as though the smaller candy had requested industrial support.
The first few clusters were harmless.
A group of blue symbols disappeared.
€2.40.
New sweets fell.
Another blue cluster.
€3.60.
Then nothing.
But the places where the wins had happened stayed marked.
x2.
A few spins later, purple candy landed across one of those same positions.
Win.
The multiplier increased.
x4.
Another tumble brought more purple onto it.
x8.
The payment was still small.
The ground was becoming expensive.
That distinction quickly mattered more.
A red cluster might pay €4.
Fine.
But if it vanished across three fresh positions, those three squares became x2.
If another red group happened to land there again, the same area started glowing harder.
The sweets themselves were temporary.
The sugar stains were building a neighbourhood.
Then the first Mega Candy arrived.
A giant purple block occupying four positions.
2×2.
It dropped into the middle of several normal purple sweets.
Cluster.
The huge piece cracked.
Four squares underneath it lit simultaneously.
x2.
One was already active.
That one jumped higher.
The Mega Candy disappeared in chunks.
More sweets fell.
Purple again.
Another win.
The same four positions upgraded.
The centre of the grid was now becoming less like a sweet shop and more like a place where purple candy went to become financially dangerous.
Next tumble.
Blue cluster on the left.
Small payment.
Another tumble.
Purple dropped back into the middle.
Enough connected.
The multipliers applied.
€12.
New sweets fell.
More purple.
Same area.
The counter moved again.
€21.
Then €36.
The chain finally died around €74.
That was the first proper hit.
No feature.
No huge trigger.
Just several pieces of candy repeatedly landing on the same increasingly sticky patch of mathematics.
The next few spins did almost nothing.
A green cluster paid €3.
Orange sweets formed a group and immediately failed to follow themselves.
Two blue clusters created fresh x2 spots in completely unhelpful corners.
The grid was spreading sugar everywhere without connecting any of the expensive parts.
Then the Scatter jars began landing.
One.
Nothing.
Two on another spin.
Still nothing.
The jars were enormous, glowing and filled with enough sugar to make the surrounding gummies look underqualified.
Three landed together.
The screen filled with white crystals.
Ten Free Spins.
The multiplier marks cleared into a fresh feature grid.
First spin.
Small orange cluster.
A few x2 spots.
Tumble.
Nothing.
Second.
Blue cluster.
Then green.
Useful.
Several marked positions now existed across the lower half.
Third Free Spin.
A 2×2 Mega Candy landed on the right.
Purple.
It connected immediately.
Four positions lit.
One of them had already been x4.
That one increased.
Another tumble.
No purple.
The giant candy had arrived, improved the neighbourhood and left before anyone moved in.
Seven Free Spins remained.
A group of red jellies connected along the bottom.
Then another.
The multiplier spots started touching.
That triggered something new.
The borders between them vanished.
The individual glowing squares joined into one larger patch.
MEGA ZONE.
Now the entire connected area pulsed together.
The next winning cluster passing through it used all the active multipliers inside.
That changed what I watched.
Candy colour mattered.
Location mattered more.
I wanted sweets to land in the glowing district.
The next spin completely ignored it.
Green stars won in the top-left corner.
€4.
Very decorative.
Entirely outside the valuable area.
Then came the 3×3 Mega Candy.
Blue.
Nine positions.
It dropped partly over the Mega Zone and partly outside it.
Several normal blue gummies surrounded it.
Enough connected.
The giant block cracked.
Every square underneath upgraded.
Nine positions at once.
The existing zone expanded.
x4.
x8.
One x16.
Fresh x2s around the edges.
The Mega Zone spread across a huge section of the grid.
The candy collapsed.
More blue fell.
Another cluster.
Same region.
The multipliers climbed again.
The payment moved through €18, €34 and €61 before the tumble stopped.
Five Free Spins remained.
The grid now had one x32 square sitting inside the Mega Zone.
Several x16s.
A crowd of x8s.
One lonely x2 near the edge that looked as though it had arrived late to the festival.
Next spin.
Purple.
Lots of purple.
The cluster touched the Mega Zone.
Symbols vanished.
Multipliers applied.
€47.
New candies fell.
More purple.
Another connection.
The same area upgraded.
One x32 became x64.
Several neighbouring spots moved higher.
The zone expanded by another square.
Tumble.
Blue gummies landed.
Cluster.
Now the left side joined.
The counter passed €100.
Another collapse.
Purple returned.
This time there were enough across almost the entire lower half.
They connected through the Mega Zone.
The screen flashed.
x8.
x16.
x32.
x64.
Numbers appeared everywhere.
The payment began climbing too quickly to follow each piece.
€126.
Then €218.
More sweets vanished.
Another tumble.
Purple again.
The same zone.
The multipliers were still there.
Another connection.
The counter passed €350.
The grid shook.
Candy exploded in every direction.
One more tumble landed blue gummies across the centre.
Enough.
They crossed the x64 square.
That pushed the sequence beyond €500.
The whole screen became sugar dust.
The Mega Zone pulsed gold.
There were still four Free Spins left.
That was almost unfair to the remaining candy.
The next spin produced €6.
A tiny green cluster in the corner.
The feature had just crossed €500 in one extended sugar catastrophe and followed it with six euros worth of stars.
Three spins.
Another Mega Candy landed.
Orange.
Wrong part of the grid.
Small win.
Two spins.
Purple returned, but not enough connected through the main zone.
A x32 square sat underneath one piece doing absolutely nothing.
Final Free Spin.
Red jellies landed heavily.
For a moment it looked right.
Several were inside the Mega Zone.
One sat directly over x64.
But they were separated by two blue gummies.
No cluster.
No tumble.
No final explosion.
The bonus finished above €700.
The feature had not needed a miracle on its last spin.
Most of the money came several rounds earlier when one Mega Zone grew large enough that the candy could barely fall anywhere without landing on something dangerous.
The base game returned.
I stayed at €1.00.
A few small clusters landed.
€2.
Then €3.20.
One purple sequence left a fresh multiplier mark.
Nothing followed it.
Then came the last spin.
A red jelly dropped directly onto the strongest-looking multiplier position still glowing from the previous tumble.
x64 beneath it.
One red above.
Another far to the left.
Not enough.
The jelly stayed.
No win.
No tumble.
No MegaRush.
Just one piece of candy sitting on the most expensive square in the entire sweet shop with nobody matching its flavour.
Raiders of Valhalla Megaways crashed. I took it as divine intervention.
