We installed a clean interface. By lunch the Wilds were using it as a getaway vehicle.

I chased a multiplier and woke up inside a medieval blood ritual.

There were no reels anymore. Just teeth. Stone arches arched for nothing. The slot had grown claws. Somewhere behind my screen, something huge and horned was breathing through the numbers. The symbols weren’t falling — they were being dropped from a cathedral ceiling, and every time five or more clustered, I swear I heard a monk scream.

This wasn’t spinning. This was summoning.

It began like any other madness — eight rows, eight columns, clusters of five or more forming payouts. But once the Morphing Clusters started twitching, I knew I wasn’t in control. On every spin, one symbol was chosen by name, pulled from the grid like a sacrifice. If it formed a cluster, it spread — it infected its neighbors. Morphing them. Consuming them. I didn’t read it in the paytable. I felt it in my molars.

And then the Tarasque appeared.

I didn’t know its name, only its weight. It landed like a cathedral bell and devoured everything in sight. It wasn’t a Wild — it was a verdict. The moment the first segment of the progress bar lit up, it began to grow. With every win, it gained mass. With every sacrifice, it grew teeth. There was no music anymore, just a slow, ancient drone and the sound of my balance climbing in jerks and moans.

Each win fed the progress bar. I didn’t ask why. I just kept feeding it.

That’s when the Features started stacking. Wild Spikes erupted from the stone grid like cursed thorns, first a trickle, then a field. Blazing Gaze followed — a purge — it removed low-paying symbols like a jealous god making room for royalty. The Mage’s Morph brought chaos, triggering symbol after symbol like falling dominos in a crypt.

But it was the Bulking Beast that broke me.

The Tarasque returned. Bigger. Dripping with the symbols it had eaten. And when it Unleashed, it vomited the grid full — a full-screen finale of matching icons, tumbling from its maw in order, placing them like a priest placing relics. That’s when I saw the Yellow Lady. Sixty-four of her. A full board. One thousand times my bet, carved in gold above the altar of destruction.

I blacked out before the cascade finished.

When I came to, I hit the Feature Bet. I don’t even remember clicking it. I just knew I needed more Morphing Symbols. I bought six. Then twelve. Then thirty. I had no idea what I was paying. The grid opened again like a grimoire. The Morphing Symbols glowed like stained glass. The Tarasque was laughing. The monks were crying.

Every spin was a procession.

Celestial Blessings landed like divine lightning. A 3x. A 5x. A 10x. On the right spin, with the right cluster, these blessings turned into judgment. One moment I was spinning casually, the next I was watching a 300x scream down the grid like it had been summoned through incense and bone.

And then it happened. Again.

Progress bar. Full. Tarasque. Full. It didn’t land — it arrived. It didn’t Unleash — it exorcised. It placed symbols with ceremony. It knew what it was doing. I didn’t click. I just watched. My win counter surged past 500x. Then 800x. Then…

It gave me the Lady again. All of her. And she paid.

The grid collapsed into white.

No slot should have this much weight. No mechanic should feel like prayer. I was spinning, yes, but I was also repenting, also baptizing myself in the cluster. It’s just an 8×8 grid, they said. It’s just cascading symbols, they said. Print Studios made this thing out of stone and fury. They called it a slot. But it’s a relic. A relic that remembers who spins it.

I think it’s still spinning in my skull.

I think the progress bar filled something in me.

I can’t look at a cluster pay game again without hearing bells.

Try it if you want. Just don’t trigger the Bulking Beast unless you’re ready to finish what it starts.
