Given that Big Juan is a medium variance slot machine 2600x your bet is a respectable amount and with the RTP being above what we like to consider the industry norm statistically speaking there is nothing that we find to complain about when it comes to this slot machine.

It’s a good start before we first start up the Big Juan demo which showed us a Mexican Fiesta style theme, something we have of course seen on quite a few other slots made by different developers.

The reels are of course filled with appropriate symbols and the highest paying of them is the Chilli Wild which will return you x15 your bet if you land 5 of them. It substitute for all other symbols except for the bonus one and although it can appear on all 5 reels it is not part of the game if you trigger the respin feature.

Speaking of the bonus symbol this is the Piñata of which 3 are needed to trigger said respin feature. During the respins feature the slot changes to a 3×3 grid where the aim is to collects as much cash as possible. 3 bonus symbol will award you 10 respins, 4 will award you 12 and if you get 5 bonus symbols you will be awarded 15 respins.

Good news is that it is possible to retrigger and/or get more respins.

There are a couple of other things that we should mention about this slot as there are 2 features that we have not yet discussed in this review. First there is the Wild Switch feature which if you land more than 6 of the same symbol on reels 2,3 and 5 will result in those symbols transforming into wilds, this certainly helps make the base game more interesting. Second there are jackpots that make up part of the Big Juan gameplay. These follow the pretty traditional format of minor, major and so on with the highest jackpot being a fixed 2500x your bet.

All in all this is a rather interesting release by Pragmatic Play, it is nice to see a slot with medium variance and decent winning potential, the theme is perhaps not the nicest we have seen from Pragmatic Play but this slot does work well and we are sure fans of this developer will enjoy giving this one a spin or two.
